New Schedule and Pricing

For the upcoming week there will be classes on Tuesday and Friday but none on Thanksgiving day. The schedule will still be the current schedule as noted in the first post of this blog. All current and former students are more than welcome to attend the post Thanksgiving Turkey burn to be led by Mr. Chaplin on Friday.

As we settle in to our new location we are making adjustments to the schedule to better accomodate the students we have. There are no separate Tiny Tiger classes in the new schedule. We will be teaching the Tiny Tigers in the first class of the day. Because this will be a mixed class there will be a limited number of slots available for Tiny Tigers and preference will be given to those with family members in the standard classes. The first 3 weeks

We have only been in our new location for 3 weeks, but we are starting to get settled in. Mr. TJ Holgerson is a 4th degree certified instructor from McPherson attending Wichita State University. He has started to come in and help us and was our guest judge for our 1st testing. At our testing we 9 students test including Michaela Ensor testing for first degree decided.

Several students attended the Tournament in Kansas City on November 15th, Lisa Mahugh, Elizabeth Metz, Briggs Erwin, Jack Womble, Payton Lear and Madisen Huscher all attended. Some of the standout performances were Briggs and Madisen getting first in sparring and Lisa taking first in forms and second in sparring. Make sure you congratulate all these students the next time you see them.

This is my first attempt at entering into our new blog. Thank you much goes to Mrs. Huscher for setting it up. It will hopefully help with our communication. Our first testing will be this Friday, November 21st at 7:15 pm. At this point it looks like we will have nine testing. New schedule will go into effect on Dec 2nd and will be available soon. We had several students attend the Kansas City tourney this last weekend and will post the results when we get them all. See you in class!

General Information

We had the meeting on Saturday and overall I think we answered everybody's questions. I am sending this note to try and answer questions we have been receiving. I want to emphasize that although we are going to continue classes, we are not an official ATA school until we purchase the license from Mr. Peck. Based on the number of students that show up this week for classes, we hope to have all transactions officially completed prior to the end of November. Hopefully it will be sooner than that.

Classes will be held at Hope Community Church in Andover. The Church is located on 21st street North in Andover a little more than a mile East of Andover road near the turnpike enterance. Classes are in the SE corner of the building.

We are going to try and get a reading on where everyone is this week and tenatively have a testing for those that have been actively attending class some time around the 21st of November as was previously scheduled. You must be in one of the 2 classes this week if you were planning on testing.

Look forward to seeing you there!
Mr. Nelson and Mr. Chaplin
