Reports are that the church parking lot and roads around Andover are very icy tonight so we are canceling classes. Classes will be held as usual on Thursday and Friday. Thanks for your understanding and stay safe. (and warm)

11:30 - 12:30 - Informational Session - For current, past or future students to ask questions or make comments
12:30 - 1:30 - Color belt workout - all ranks are welcome to attend. Guest instructor Mr. Hackerott, 4th degree black belt from Manhattan, Kansas
1:30 - 2:30 - Black belt workout with Mr. Hackerott - 1st degree decided Black Belt and above

Manhattan Tournament Was a Great Success

We had 13 students attend the tournament on December 13, 2008. The students did really well and here are their placings.

Mr. Aaron Chaplin got 1st in weapons, 2nd in forms and 3rd in sparring
Mr. Jessie Womble placed 4th in sparring
Mr. David Hendershot received 2nd in sparring and 3rd in weapons
Elizabeth Metz got 1st in sparring and 1st in forms
Briggs Erwin placed 3rd in forms, 2nd in weapons and 3rd in sparring
Payton Lear received 3rd in forms and 3rd in weapons
Jennifer Todd got 3rd in forms
Mr. Logan Nelson placed 4th in weapons
Mr. Jack Womble received 1st in sparring and 2nd in forms
Miss Madisen Huscher got 3rd in sparring
Miss Michaela Ensor placed 2nd in sparring and 3rd in forms
Lisa Mayhugh received 1st in forms and 2nd in sparring
Mr. Ben Chaplin got 4th in forms

These students all did very well and we hope to see them and you at future tournaments.

Holiday Schedule

Classes will be held this week on only Tuesday, Dec 23rd.

Next week classes will be held on Tuesday, December 30th and Friday, January 2nd.

We are looking at having some event on Saturday, January 3rd during the day. This may include a parent meeting or scheduling in a guest instructor. Stay tuned!

Tuesday, December 16th

Currently we plan on having classes tonight. Mr. Chaplin and myself both have concerts for our kids we need to attend so Mr. Hendershot will be teaching classes. Mr. Chaplin should be there from 6:00 to 6:30 to open.

Manhattan Tournament

We had 13 competitors attend the Manhattan Tournament on December 13th. We will post some photos and the results in the near future.

Thursday, Dec 11th

We had a very light turnout on Tuesday which was understandable because of the storm. Mr. Chaplin and I talked and agreed to have class on Friday from 6pm to 7pm so it would give an opportunity for those going to Mr. Auman's tournament to get in one last practice. If you have anything you want ordered, Email me today or let me know tonight as I will be sending in what will probably be the last order of the year tonight.
